BSICATSML - BS Compliant First Aid Kit Catering Small
Small British Standard first aid kit which complies with BS 8599-1.
The size of BS compliant first aid kit that you require is dependent on a combination of factors including the level of risk and the number of employees in the workplace. The table below gives some guidance but should not replace a risk assessment taking into consideration a wide range of factors including previous injuries, size of site, potential injuries etc.
Low Hazard – eg shops, office, libraries, etc
Less than 25 – small size BS compliant first aid kit
25-100 – medium size BS compliant first aid kit
more than 100 – 1 large BS compliant first aid kit per 100 employees
High Hazard – eg light engineering and assembly work, food processing, warehousing, extensive work and dangerous machinery or sharp instruments, construction, chemical manufacture, etc
Less than 5 – small size BS compliant first aid kit
5-25 – medium size kit
more than 25 – 1 large BS compliant first aid kit per 25 employees
